Happy 5th of May

I’m not feeling altogether celebratory though. Sadly, I’m still hurting from my little ER escapade and I’m not back into the swing of life yet. I forgot my daughter’s well-baby checkup this morning and it had to be rescheduled for tomorrow DOH! I’m just glad they could get me in so quickly. I lurve my pedi and her staff. Now there is a wonderful medical professional and staff. I’ll give them my money and recommend them to anyone I know any day of the week.

I really don’t understand why White People celebrate Cinco De Mayo. For the Latino people, I completely understand. Of course you celebrate your Independence Day, just as I would if I were somewhere else on the Fourth of July or if I wanted to celebrate a Swedish holiday in honor of my heritage But White People just use the day like St. Patrick’s day in my mind…as another day to get drunk. Can you explain the fun in this?

I always think of “Bill Cosby Himself” when he does the bit about the weekend and he’s pretending to hug the toilet bowl and saying “I earned this!!” An excellent point. You’ve earned putting your face where your behind typically deposits waste and barfing up all your “fun?”

Doesn’t sound like much fun too me. White People need to just celebrate with Latinos what they are celebrating. Learn about their heritage. Give them some respect.
